No One is a Statistician
A sign I saw at Stanford University (Tresidder Student Union, part of a
campaign against rape, February 8, 2006):
42% of all women who have been raped
tell NO ONE about their assault
("NO ONE" in capitals in the original sign.)
So where does the "42%" come from?
