The symposium will comemorate both 15 years of activities of the Landau Center and the 80^th anniversary of the first mathematical lecture in Jerusalem given by Professor Edmund Landau of Göttingen at the opening ceremony of the Hebrew University.

The symposium will feature lectures in different branches of mathematics, given by leading German and Israeli mathematicians.
