Constructing Virtual Cycles over Stratified Banach Orbifolds

Abstract: Pseudocycles and Virtual Cycles play important roles in constructing Gromov-Witten invariants(closed case). Usually we describe these objects using language of Kuranishi structure. n this talk I will provide another topological way to construct virtual cycles in totally abstract settings(Stratified Banach Orbifolds) and explain the difference between this construction and Kuranishi structure.
The construction is based on work of Guangcun Lu and Gang Tian.
